USKO Launches Online English Course for Drivers
18 July 2025
USKO Inc. is launching a dedicated online English course designed to help truck drivers meet the new FMCSA English proficiency standard and avoid being placed out of service.
The regulation, reintroduced by a presidential executive order, makes it mandatory for commercial drivers to speak, read, and understand basic English, including traffic signs and official directions. With around 3 million non-native speakers in the industry — approximately 10% of the driver workforce — these rules could impact many drivers and carriers.
